September 2010 Newsletter

Greetings!

We apologize for the delay in our September newsletter! In late August, we moved into our new offices in downtown Acworth and then scooted off four days later to NYC for the 2010 Business of Design Conference. A week after we returned, Joann jetted off to Italy for a life long dream vacation with her Mom. PHEW!

Joann returns soon and we'll be around for a little bit before the Highpoint Furniture Market in October.

For now, we've got lots of interesting news to share!

We're All Moved In!!

Yup, we are big girls now. If you are familiar with downtown Acworth, our 2,000 sq. ft. of office space is located in the suite above the popular Divas & Dames Boutique. Our address is 4366 Senator Russell Ave.

A "Serenbe" Bathroom

We recently finished a project that entailed completely gutting and renovating three bathrooms in a Roswell home. We had many requests from our clients - to create a spa like feel using sustainable products that accentuated the shower and tub in the master bathroom, create a cheery, turquoise inspired bathroom upstairs and use Asian and Arts and Crafts influences in the third bathroom.

We joined together with Momentum Construction and the results were outstanding!!! We find that many of our clients, unable to sell their homes, are choosing to upgrade instead - thus infusing new life and character in to their current home.

Do you RUE?

Have you had the chance to read a digital magazine yet? They are the latest and greatest in on line media. RUE is a new online interiors and lifestyle publication. September is their first issue.

One thing I love most about the social media phenomenon, is the personality that exudes from the computer screen. Think about this when you click on "About Us" on the RUE website. This is what you'll find:

That every color can be your favorite color.
That a good coat of paint atones for a multitude of sins.
That wallpaper isn't "back", because frankly wallpaper never left - it only went into hibernation.

That Coco Chanel said it best when she stated, "Fashion is not dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."
That everyone has the talent and drive to design their most beautiful life - we all just need a little nudge in the right direction.
That the best ideas are found when you close your eyes and open your heart.

THAT INSPIRATION IS EVERYWHERE.
