Greetings!
Happy Summer! As usual, we have been running around like crazy staying busy and taking advantage of new and exciting opportunities that come our way. Last week we flew to Denver with the Insidesign team (see below) to visit the TruStile door plant and learn about their innovative approach to doors (it's MUCH more exciting than it sounds). Next week we will both be on vacation enjoying some time with family.
We are happy to have a summer intern this year, Nicole Flint, who is quickly learning our fun but intense approach to interior design. Our team has also expanded by four feet (please read below).
As you probably already know, our website is always being updated. Please keep your eye on it: www.kandrac-kole.com. Our News, Press, and Portfolio pages were recently updated. If you crave extra design tidbits, check us out on twitter as well: www.twitter.com/kandrackole.
Best regards, Joann and Kelly |

Design Around the Door Please
Go to Denver with our kitchen and bath design partner to learn about Trustile doors? Sure! We'll go! (And boy did we have fun).
In the past we introduced you to our chosen kitchen and bath experts Insidesign. Please check out their website - you will be amazed at the beautiful wood products they carry (doors, cabinets, moldings, floors) and the talented staff they have available to manage any kitchen/bath/media room etc. renovation or build out you may have. We are currently the featured designer on their website.
One of Insidesigns chosen partners is TruStile door. Now admittedly, we were not in the habit of paying much attention to the quality, design and contruction of an interior door. When you realize that you can create a door using one of 400 different styles and then have it custom created in MDF or one of 14 species of wood along with glass or resin, you start to pay attention! From
the Wynn Las Vegas to the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City to homes all
over the U.S., TruStile is making an impression with the quality and
beauty of their door designs. Go look at your doors in your house - are they 6 panelled, hollow core doors that you can put your fist thru? Now go look at the TruStile website. Better yet, just call us and we'll design a cool door for your pantry, basement entry, or that office that's situated at the front of your home!

Is Your House Making You Happy?
We (you and I) have power over the spaces in our home. If we don't take advantage of that, we are squandering a major opportunity to bring positive energy into our lives. Ok, so the economy stinks and you don't have design funds right now. There's always PAINT!! If you've worked with us before, you know we are the Queens of Color - always searching for that perfect hue for each client.
Here are a few of new favorites: Sherwin Williams Flexible Gray (SW6010) - A pretty gray with purple undertones.
Sherwin Williams Indigo Batik (SW7602) - A sophisticated Navy.
Sherwin Williams/Duron Weatherboard (DCR103) - A wonderful green/gray from the Historic Charleston Collection.
P.S. And please don't forget the ceiling and trim. They don't need to be white by any means!

Good Summer Reads
1. Hissy Fit by Mary Kay Andrews - This is a funny beach read by an Atlanta writer. (We've actually read all her books but this one is a fave).
2. Skinny Dip by Carl Hiaasan - (Joann laughed her way thru this one).
3. Desperate Households by Kathy Peel - A little bit more serious read about managing households.

Words to Live By

The Stork Has Arrived! By now, most of you know our installer, Chris Ray (now officially Hangman Installations), who has been an integral part of our team for many years. On July 4th, Chris and his wife Lisa were blessed with twins! Sophie Grace (5 lbs. 14 oz) and Christopher Chase (7 lbs. 3 oz) will be holding those little hammers soon! CONGRATS!!!
