January Newsletter 2009
Greetings!
Happy New Year!  We hope that your holidays were festive and fun and not too stressful!

Over the holidays, we received a great note from one our mentors, Steve Nobel, and thought you might be interested in his energetic perspective. Here's what he had to say:

"I have been optimistic about the extraordinary value of interior design throughout the year, and continue to be.  While preparing my New Year's resolutions, I looked back to look forward, finding what I believe matters to designers and their prospective clients, at any time and in any economy.

Comfort at home leads the list, even (just) curled-up (in a) throw. Deep emotions motivate us to live well at home - connecting with relationships (at home), taking care of me (at home), and individual style (at home). These motives have not changed much over the centuries - they are intrinsic to interior design and often trump economics.

Design manifests that intimate desire to live well, no matter how much money is spent. Designers give form and function to our stylish lives. "

We wanted to share this blog with you because it really embraces our philosophy that "home is where the heart is".  To us, it doesn't matter if the project is big or small, if our work inspires you to live better and have more peace and happiness at home, then we are rewarded!

Cheers to the New Year!!!

Joann and Kelly

Cozy, Coastal Cottage

Canton, GA

We are very blessed to have many REALLY fun clients.  We got to end the year with a bang after working with our clients Mary Lee and John on their new home (the second one we had designed for them) in Woodstock GA.  There are no "before" photos to share with you because the house was new and completely empty when we started this project.  The goal for this house was durable, cozy and comfortable with plenty of room for family gatherings. The colors and decor reminded Marylee of the Jersey shore and brought her lots peace and good memories.

Words to Live By

"Improving one's lot in life is a sign of health and growth. But we've got to be careful about always demanding some nonexistent perfection and learn instead to appreciate, to enhance what is in hand."

Refer a Friend!

Lotito verse

Kandrac & Kole Interior Designs will be celebrating our 4th anniversary this August.  We have always said that we have succeeded because of the amazing referrals we have received directly from our current clients. So we figured, it was time to custom create some really special personalized "THANK YOU'S" for any new referrals we receive this year.

Refer a friend to us this year (who makes an appointment) and we will create for you a personalized plaque for your home that is custom made by our faux artist, Joan.  This is an example of one we recently made for a client.  Our client requested this biblical verse so we had it made to coordinate with the colors of her home.
