What is "BUY the Hour?"

Dear Clients,
After we sent out our September newsletter last week, a long time client called very upset after reading about our new service "BUY the Hour". She interpreted this to mean that our normal hourly fee was now $300 per hour and she was upset that she could no longer afford our services. THIS IS INCORRECT.
Let us clarify - Our normal hourly rate is $100. As many of you have experienced, most of our projects are billed at a flat rate per room. On large scale projects, this hourly rate doesn't even come into play that often. However, we have recently received requests to take on small jobs or ones that require some unique sourcing of items, tackling a one time project, etc. It is hard for us to make time for these small projects especially with Atlanta being as spread out as it is and our schedule booked.
So we designed a new service called "BUY the Hour". We accelerated our hourly rate to $300/hour and attached a minimum time frame of 4 hours (so the minimum you will pay is $1,200). This might apply to you if you are interested in the following services:
- You have been looking for a certain product, piece of furniture, rug, etc. for over a year and you simply cannot find what you are looking for. You need two experienced designers to focus all of their attention for a certain amount of time to find what has alluded you!
- You are having a holiday party and you just want your family room and kitchen staged to look the best it can be without purchasing anything.
- You don't want all of the bells and whistles of a full design plan, you're just searching for a really well made sofa and chair that has certain colors, is hypo-allergenic and oh by the way has temperpedic cushions. Surprise! The retail stores don't have what you want.
- You have a pile of photos that you adore but you have no idea how to make a gallery on the wall. The thought of dealing with the matting/framing/display/sizing is just too much to handle so the pile sits there and the large family room wall is still blank.
Hopefully that clarifies this program. We hope that you see there is great value in having two experienced designers use their focused time, energy and resources to accomplish in a few hours what you don't have time for.
