Greetings!
I want to welcome you to our February 2011 edition of the LMS Defense Newsletter.
This year's SHOT Show was a great event for us. One of the highlights was our Meet & Greet where over 100 attendees converged onto Caesar's Palace. During the reception and dinner, Instructors, Staff and our Alumni were able to mingle and reconnect with friends and make new ones as well. Thanks to all of you who helped make our Meet & Greet a success!
SHOT Show had many great products on display and it would be quite an exercise to talk about them all. However, there were a few that stood out from the rest. Laser Devices Inc has released a version of the DBAL I2 with IR capabilities that is for sale to non-government customers. This dual laser mil-spec unit is available with a 0.07mW infrared laser pointer and illuminator or a 5mW green visible laser and 0.07mW infrared laser pointer. You can read more about it on our website as well as where to purchase it.
PWS is now offering the SRX (SCAR Rail Extension) which allows for greater real estate for that rifle. Their MK2 series rifle (7.62x51 piston driven) was impressive as well. You can see my SHOT Show review for these PWS products on our YouTube channel.
Also to note was the PWS T3 Rimfire series and components which are designed around the 10/22 product line. Lastly, keep an eye on Blue Force Gear's new SOC-C Plate Carrier. It is a modular design, allowing the user to go from low-profile to direct action configurations all within one plate carrier system.
In other news, we have launched our new website which now incorporates several exciting features. Reading our Product Reviews, News, How-To articles and watching our YouTube channel are now easily accessible through one simple portal. Our course registration process has been improved as well, allowing you to register electronically and now you have the ability to add yourself to a course's waiting list. Check out the website and let us know what you think!
Lastly, as you read in our January newsletter, we are now offering courses in Tennessee and now Maine as well. Currently on the schedule we have our Pistol Clinic, Carbine Clinic, No Light Operations, Team Tactics and Officer Rescue Tactics and Command to name just a few. Check our schedule for all of the Tennessee and Maine courses. If you are interested in a course that is not on the schedule then please contact us and we'll work with you to make it happen.
