FRESHWATER FURY ABOUT TO CLOSE

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The storm is about over at the Door County Maritime Museum - "Freshwater Fury," to be exact. The captivating exhibit enjoyed by thousands over the past two seasons is closing. But, the public can still experience it through Monday, Jan. 18.
For better than 20 months the exhibit has told the story of the amazing storm of 1913 - one of the greatest to ever hit the Great Lakes. From its disorienting sinking freighter, recovered artifacts from the bottom of the lakes, interactives and videos, "Fury" has enlightened visitors of all ages to the impact and devastating aftermath of the Great Lakes' "Perfect Storm."
The Museum's upper lobby and Horton Gallery will then undergo a transformation to the new exhibit "Ghosts: Haunted Lighthouses of the Great Lakes," which will explore the truths, myths and legends surrounding some of the most famous hauntings on the lakes - including some in our own backyard. The new exhibit will open on May 23.
