CRUISE TO BENEFIT MARITIME MUSEUM APPEAL
Internationally touring ballad singer Judy Cook will provide the entertainment when the Door County Maritime Museum offers "Sea Music at Sunset," a benefit cruise earmarked for the museum's 2009 Anchor Appeal Campaign.
Cook will explore the "Songs of Women and the Sea" during her performance aboard the Harbor Lady cruise boat Sunday, Sept. 27, departing from Stone Harbor Resort in Sturgeon Bay.
Nominated as the Best Female Vocalist in Traditional Folk by the Washington (D.C.) Area Music Association, Cook invites listeners to go back in time to the age of sail for lighthearted musical romps and gripping stories about women who tempted sailors, lamented sailors and who were sailors.
In addition to the music, attendees will be treated to a heavy hors d'oeuvre buffet.
Tickets are $75 per person with $50 designated as a donation to the museum's annual appeal. The event is being sponsored by both Harbor Lady Cruises and Stone Harbor Resort.
