AHOY!! The 16th Annual Door County Lighthouse Walk will kick-off this Friday evening with the ever-popular Keepers' Kin Reception at the Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay
Enjoy an evening of sumptuous deserts and an opportunity to meet and talk with the descendents of Door County lighthouse keepers. Hear first hand the many fascinating family stories of the challenges, adventures and joys of life tending the sentinels of the Peninsula's rugged islands and shores.
Special Presentation: In addition to meeting the Keepers' Kin, enjoy a special presentation by noted lighthouse enthusiast John Enright. John will provide a brief history of the Door County lighthouses and discuss the intriguing and important roll women keepers played in the history of the Lighthouse Service. The presentation will take place in the Museum's Redden Bridge Room at 5:00 and 6:30 P.M.
All museum galleries will be open--don't miss the Freshwater Fury exhibit!
Tickets are available in advance or at the door (Adult $15 each; Child $5). Please contact the Maritime Museum at (920) 743-5958 for additional detail.
