     I have managed to find my way to the wheelhouse (a.k.a. my office in the museum) and am now deep into the watch relief process (sailor jargon for trying to figure out what I'm doing). 
     One of the first and most important items on my ever growing to-do list is an opportunity meet the museum's many members and volunteers-you are the engine that makes this place go!
     To that end, we are planning an informal meet and greet-an open house of sorts-here at the museum in Sturgeon Bay from 3:30 P.M to 5:30 P.M., Saturday November 8, 2008.  Please stop by to enjoy a little camaraderie, light refreshments, and suffer through a sea story or two from your new Director.

 

On the near horizon; please don't forget about Tug Fest this Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 9:00 A. M. to 5:00 P.M.  Held in conjunction with West Fest, the day will be filled with family focused events celebrating the pride of the museum fleet, the tug John Purves.   The day will include:
