Lunch with Leaders - Alan Braun

 Please join us for lunch with Alan Braun, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Industrial Contractors and long-time supporter of United Way. Mr. Braun will soon be inducted into the Evansville Business Journal Hall of Fame, sponsored by Junior Achievement of Evansville. Alan Braun is Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer of Industrial Contractors, Inc., a general contractor that has
been ranked in ENR's, "Top 400 Contractors" for the past 30 years. ICI's
highest ranking was #141 in 2006. Alan is also involved in Industrial
Contractors, Inc. affiliate companies as Executive Vice-President of
Professional Consultants, Inc., President of Industrial Equipment Company,
Vice-President of Chal Corporation and President of Tri-State Refractories. The
companies had a total sales volume of about $370,000,000 in 2008 and averaged
nearly 1600 employees for the year.
Alan is a native of Evansville, Indiana. He received a BBA in Accounting from
the University of Notre Dame and also served in the United States Navy. He has
been a member of the University of Evansville's Board of Trustees since the
1989-90 academic year, served as a former board chairman, and is currently the
chairman of University of Evansville's comprehensive capital campaign U*Envision
2010. He was awarded the Samuel Orr Honorary Alumnus Award in 2001 by U of E's
Alumni Association.
Alan is also active in the Evansville community and in Southwestern Indiana. He currently is a director of Old
National Bank and a member of the board of Koch Enterprises. Alan is a member
of the Evansville Regional Business Committee and serves on the Economic
Development Council of Southwestern Indiana. Alan has served on many non-profit
boards including Chairman of the Deaconess Hospital Foundation, Junior
Achievement of Southwestern Indiana and the
United
Way of Southwestern
Indiana.
He has been married to his wife
Sharon for 42 years. He has two children, Matthew Braun and Molly Russell, and
two granddaughters, Lily Braun and Ella Braun.
