JEFFERSON Meritage
Grown in the shadow of Monticello, Intense sweet, red and black fruits flow from the first taste to the finish. Intermingled are notes of espresso, chocolates on the mid-palate and Provencal herbs on the finish.

JEFFERSONViognier 2006
This classic Viognier ia soft, luscious, and full-bodied, with a pronounced perfume of honeysuckle, apricot and pineapple. Polished acidity and an underlying minerality add to the wine's complexity and drinking enjoyment. This extraordinary cuvee will age gracefully for the next 1 to 2 years, developing an additional element of candied orange peel balanced by increasingly linear acids in the mid-palate and finish. Viognier once confined mainly to France's northern Rhone Valley, it is now planted worldwide and thrives as and outstanding varietal of Virginia's terrior.
A nice wine to sip or to pair with slightly spicy pork or chicken dishes.
