Southern Living Magazine
October 17th
Hey! Pay attention to this. We are advertising it a week in advance...so make plans now.
Virginia named Top 5 Wine Regions in the World by Travel & Leisure Magazine!!!"
Greetings Lovers of the Grape, Mark your calendars and plan to join the ladies of Black Slip Wines
( www.blackslipwines.com) for our premier wine tasting event for the Birmingham area!
With joy for wine lovers and ourselves, Blackslip Wines, Inc. will be introducing Birmingham Alabama to some of the most luscious and extraordinary Virginia wines we have ever tasted.
This complimentary wine tasting will be held on Wednesday, October 17, from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM at Wine'd Down ( www.wineddown.com) located in the Patton Creek shopping center adjacent to the Riverchase Galleria in Hoover.
Many thanks to Rhonda & Thomas Bonds of Wine'd Down for hosting this first time showcasing of Virginia wines in Birmingham!
Virginia is poised to become the next "hot" American wine region and several of the wines being produced in the piedmont region of Virginia are reminiscent of classic European wine making. The boutique wineries of Virginia are producing wines that are in perfect harmony with the terrior of the state. Cab Franc, Nebbiolo, Sparkling Viognier, Petite Manseng, Riesling and a Meritage are all outstanding varietals that we think you will find intriguing and refreshingly new to your palate.
The ladies of Black Slip recently returned from a trip to the Burgundy region of France and the Piedmont of Italy and will be on hand to share their knowledge of the connections between the old world of wine making and the new.
Join us in tasting wines from the most innovative and expressive wineries in the state: Barboursville, Horton and Jefferson. Every sip of Virginia wine is a taste of history and elegance that harkens back to the vines Thomas Jefferson brought to America, over two hundred and thirty years ago. Black Slip Wines can't wait to share them with you!"
Southern Living Magazine wants to showcase this company so lets mark our calanders and give these ladies a Warm Alabama Welcome! | |
