It's almost time.....the September-December Newsletter is getting close to being completed!  We anticipate having the classes ready to view on the new website by the middle of next week!  Watch your inbox for the email announcement!  We've got some surprises in store for you! Did you catch that? "NEW" website! Can't wait for you to see what Sarah has created for us!

 

Reusable bag reminder! - While we are not subject to the City of Sunnyvale's "bag ban" yet(March 2013 for small stores) we would like to be "ecologically aware" and encourage you to bring your own reuseable bag when shopping at the store.  We do have beautiful "Granary" bags available for purchase!  Thanks for helping us be "green"!

  

 QUILT APPRAISAL

Antique Quilts MagazineNancy Bavor, American Quilter's Society Certified Appraiser of quilted textiles, will be in the shop on Wednesday August 29 from 11am-5pm for quilt appraisals. Please call or stop by to make your appointment.  Appraisals are $45 per quilt - appointments are scheduled in 30 minute increments.  Do you have a special quilt you've wanted to have appraised?  Here's your chance!  Did you know there are only 90 AQS certified quilt appraisers in the U.S. and Canada and Nancy is the only AQS certified appraiser in Northern California?!

Are you noticing dullness....in your scissors and knives!  It's time for Sharpening Mechanics to give you that razor edge again!  Drop your scissors and knives off at the shop before August 11, and we will ferry them to Sharpening Mechanics for you.  Scissor/knife sharpening services run $5-8 per item.

July 2012 Happy Hour Quilt

To the left is the beautiful quilt Jody created using July's fat quarter collection. Stop by the shop for Cozy Quilt's "Day Dreaming" pattern and fat quarter bundle (there are only a few bundles remaining but plenty of patterns!)

 

Sarah will be using the "Coconut" Bali Pop for August's Happy Hour creation! We have a limited supply so sign up today! Join us on Friday, August 31- 6:30-8pm. Call or stop by the shop today to sign up for this fun evening!  $40 for the fabric....the pattern and fun are free!
