There has been great sadness in our Granary "family". Mary Kay Davis' husband, Eric, passed away on February 11 after collapsing during a marathon training run. He was wonderfully supportive to Mary Kay and was responsible for getting the shop into the "wireless" generation! He will be greatly missed by all.

Message from Mary Kay:

Eric could

build just about anything from furniture and buildings to networks and circuit boards. He loved his children and spent hours playing catch and helping with homework. He loved to run and he encouraged his wife in all her endeavors, recently helping her complete a 5K in Disneyland. He enjoyed going to San Jose Sharks games, was happy when the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl, and loved watching his Wisconsin Badgers in the Rose Bowl.

He was a kind, generous, and loving man and will be dearly missed by his family.

January 2012 Happy Hour quilt

January's Happy Hour quilt is certainly the appropriate theme February! Using the January strip set and Cozy Quilt's pattern "Cross My Heart" Dianne created the perfect quilt for February! There are plenty of patterns available in the shop for you to create your own "Valentine"!

Below is our fat quarter selection for February! Carol is hard at work creating the next masterpiece! Our next Happy Hour is Friday February 24 6:30-8pm. Don't miss the fun!!

Angela's Changing Seasons BOM

Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring are Lynda Howell's 33" x 45" Changing Seasons Block of the Month wall hangings. One of the blocks in each season's wall quilt features a quaint house and tree which change with each season; other blocks of seasonal motifs are unique to each wall quilt. What a better way to start off your Winter than to think of warm Summer days.

Aunt Grace's Garden Party Row of the Month

Vicki Bellino and Marcus Fabrics have joined forces to bring us a stunning 1930's Row of the Month featuring Aunt Grace's Garden Party fabric collection designed for Marcus by Judie Rothermel. Finished size is 77" x 83".

Our ROM program includes the pattern and fabric to complete the quilt top and binding; kits available January through June 2012. Shipping is available for an additional fee. See our Events page for more details.

Paris in the Fall BOM

Paula and Julie will begin their third block of the month quilt together in January. This year's BEAUTIFUL quilt, Paris in the Fall, comes from designer, Sherri K. Falls, of This & That, and features 12 blocks (2 each of 6 designs) and a unique pieced sashing and pieced cornerstones which give the quilt a vintage feel. See our Events page for all the details!

Classes meet on the first Friday afternoon and Saturday morning of each month-you can choose which session works best for you. One-time fee of $110 for 12-month program; pattern and fabric sold separately.

Count On It BOM

"Count on It" began December 1 but you're welcome to sign up anytime for this fun calendar themed BOM! We're using the book Count on It by Nancy Halvorsen as the "pattern". Visit our Events page monthly and watch our "calendar" grow! If you've already signed up for this fun program, your kit is waiting for you in the shop!

Kits are $10.95/month. We are happy to mail your kit for an additional fee.
