 How are your holiday projects coming?! Do you need some ideas for quick gifts? How about.....a tote bag, placemats/napkins, apron, Wonder Wallet (Lazy Girl), Peek a Boo Pouch, luggage tag, tissue holder, wrap bowl..... stop by the shop for more ideas! You'll be pleased to know that the Christmas fabric is now 30% off! (1/2 yard minimum cut off the bolt) Get those projects done now so you can enjoy your eggnog or hot toddy!  If you'd rather not create something to give as a gift...how about a 2011 Quilt calendar, a new book, pattern, Best Press sample bottle collection, or a wonderful quilt/table runner/tote bag from our Sample Sale!  Mary Kay has done it again! She would like to thank everyone who voted for her in the McCall's Quilt Design Star contest. Because of all your hard work she has made it to the final round with 7 other competitors. Her challenge for the final round is to create a quilt from scratch inspired by her original quilt entry. It must be a complete quilt and it has to arrive in McCall's offices by January 4th. (So about 4 weeks from start to finish.) She'll need your voting support in January, so stay tuned and thanks again!
 The Granary Sample Sale is in full swing AND new items have been added in the last few days! Once a year, The Granary's staff offers some of their meticulously handmade samples for sale just in time for the Holidays. The Sample Sale will continue through the end of the year. The selection may change weekly as new samples become available. No credit cards will be accepted for the purchase of samples; cash is preferred. |

| Quilt Appraisal | |
 In April 2010, Nancy Bavor became an American Quilter's Society Certified Appraiser of quilted textiles when she successfully passed both the written and verbal certification exams. There are only 90 AQS certified quilt appraisers in the U.S. and Canada and Nancy is the only AQS certified appraiser in Northern California.
We are lucky enough to have Nancy back in the shop on Monday, December 20 from 12-5:30pm for quilt appraisals! Please call or stop by to make your appointment. Appraisals are $45 per quilt - appointments are scheduled in 30 minute increments. A quilt appraisal would make a great holiday gift! |

 To the left is the contemporary quilt made by Sarah using the November fat quarter collection featuring the "Origins" line from Moda. There are plenty of patterns in the shop! The fat quarter collection is limited! We will take a Holiday break in December and be back on track in January with a beautiful pastel batik collection of 2 1/2" strips! | Susan's Block of the Month |
 It's not too late to sign up for Susan's new Block of the Month! We're using the pattern "A Bloomin' Dozen" by Bloomin' Minds which features thirteen 12" blocks to be used for small quilts or pillows. Here's how it works-you purchase your pattern which contains all 13 blocks, and on the first of each month we'll reveal our shop sample and have a kit with just enough fabric for that month's block ready for you to pick up (kit fee: $9.95/month). The program began October 1, but you can sign up any time before January 1 in order to receive the prior months' kits. If you keep up with the program and make just one simple, small block each month, you will have 13 adorable, themed blocks completed. Your blocks can hang as individual small wall quilts, you could make cute little seasonal pillows or you could assemble all the blocks together with sashing and borders for a "Happy Anytime" wall quilt!
