The Granary will be participating in American Patchwork & Quilting's One Million Pillowcase Challenge!  We're excited to be a part of this great program that will continue throughout 2010.  Check out their website for the current count (over 34,000 as of this writing!) of pillowcases collected and links to free pillowcase patterns.  The Granary will be listed as a participating shop in the next few weeks!  

 

Your pillowcases will provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident.  It's a great way to give back to the community!  Pillowcase kits will be available in the shop for you or we're always ready to help come up with that special combination!  We will also be scheduling a few pillowcase "sew-ins"!  You may drop off your completed pillowcases at the shop....watch the next email for information on where these pillowcases will be donated.  

 

National Quilting Day is Saturday March 20!  Celebrate by devoting your whole day to quilting!  Stop by the shop and we'll be happy to help you start a new project for Spring.  We have plenty of new books and patterns as well as bolts and bolts of new fabric....you're sure to find that perfect quilt, wallhanging, table runner, bag, etc.

 

Next Friday March 19 will be our 3rd Mystery Quilt Reveal!  Join us at 6pm to see the beautiful quilts created over the last 6 months.  Discounts will be offered on the backing fabric for your completed top and also on the fabric for our 4th Mystery to be introduced that night!  Please join us even if you've never participated before.  We're pretty sure you'll be hooked once you see the beautiful quilts and hear what a great process it is!  Please let us know in advance if you will be attending so that we can make sure we have enough treats on hand.  You can visit the Events page of our website to see the quilts from our 2nd mystery.
