This weather is PERFECT quilting weather!  We're ready and waiting help you pick out your next project.....the rain is supposed to continue so stock up on supplies!

Last Friday we sent an email regarding the Ricky Tims seminar which will be held in Rocklin June 24-26.  We had several inquiries as to whether we would be collecting names and submitting 10 or more at a time to get the group rate.  If you are interested in participating we will be taking names until February 15.  If we get 10 or more we would be happy to submit all the registrations for a group rate.  We would let you know on February 16 if we get enough.  You would simply need to mail or drop off your registration and check to us and we'll submit it before the group registration date of March 5.  Email, give us a call or stop by if you're interested!  granarynews@yahoo.com

Cinnamon Sticks

Cinnamon SticksYes....this is repeated from our last email but we've had so many questions about it we thought it was worth mentioning again!  To the left is a picture of the "Cinnamon Sticks" on our front counter.

What are "Cinnamon Sticks"?  A Cinnamon Stick is a mini-kit consisting of two pieces of 6 1/2" x 22" fabric rolled with one sheet of triangle paper used to make half-square triangle units.  Each Cinnamon Stick makes 28 half-square triangles (2" finished).  Now that we've answered that question you're probably wondering what we're going to do with them!  Using the book, Friendship Triangles by Edyta Sitar, we are starting a "Friendship Triangle Exchange" which will run through April 15.  Stop by the shop to pick up a cinnamon stick (or a few) for $3.00 each or 3 for $8.50. Sew your half-square triangles and return them to us. Keep in mind that each cinnamon stick makes 28 half-square triangles of the same two fabrics; at the end of the program, we will return to you an equal number of half-square triangles to what you turned in but the half-square triangles you receive will all be different!
