| Missing Granary Sample |
 I am both saddened and angered by the recent discovery of yet another missing sample here at the Granary. After a thorough search of the shop, we are unable to locate of beautiful "Jelly Bag" tote bag (similar to the one pictured to the left) made by Mary Kay using black and white strips. As most of you know, the samples you see in the store do not belong to the Granary; they are not items we purchase to hang in the shop. Our samples are handmade by staff members, take hours of their time and are one-of a-kind items that are not easy to replace. I consider the Granary to be a friendly, welcoming environment; I would say we know at least 95% of our customers by their first name. It sickens me to think that the person who is probably stealing from us is most likely someone we all know by name- probably someone we would never suspect! If you have somehow ended up with Mary Kay's bag in your possession, please return it to the Granary. You can easily return it to us by mail. Or if you have information regarding the whereabouts of this sample, please share it with us. A Granary gift certificate will be awarded for information leading to the return of the bag. I am sure many of you are appalled by this message. You would probably never guess that a quilter would steal from a quilt shop. I hope I have not offended anyone. I have only shared this information with you in hopes of recovering Mary Kay's bag and to make you aware of this problem. Maybe you can help us by being an extra set of eyes next time you're in the Granary and reporting any suspicious behavior to a staff member. |
