NEW way to sign up for classes!  Now you can peruse the Granary class schedule and sign up for classes anytime day or night!  We now have a registration form available for you to fill out and fax (408.735.1357) or mail to the shop.  No more waiting till the store is open to call and sign up.
 
February Bee IndustriousThe February Bee Industrious kit is ready and waiting for you in the shop!  Be aware that if we hold a kit for you each  month, all kits are returned to the floor at the end of the month (unless you've prepaid for the series!).

Strip Club
You won't want to miss out on this strip set!  Paula has been working on the quilt this past week and it's beautiful! 
 
Below is the collection of fabrics for the February strip set.  Don't be left out!  Sign up for the Strip Club today!  Since the 15th is on a Sunday, the last day to sign up for $35 will be Monday February 16.  After the 16th the cost will go up to $45.   The next Strip Club gathering will be Friday February 27.  Choose to attend the afternoon meeting (2-3:30pm) or the evening meeting (6:30-8pm).  Remember, you're not required to attend...we will gladly hold your strips until it is convenient for you to pick them up.February Strips
Mystery Step of the Month
Question Mark Don't forget to pick up the last step of the mystery quilt.  Bring your finished quilt tops to the Reveal Party on Friday March 20 at 6:30pm!  As an added incentive to finish the mystery, we will be offering 20% off your backing fabric if you bring your finished top to the Reveal Party!

The entertainment
cost of quilting!
 
A customer came in the other day with a wonderful way of looking at the cost of quilting.  She considers quilting a form of entertainment.  If you add up the time a quilting project takes from start to finish (starting with the gathering of materials and ending with the binding) and divide it into the total cost of the project, you come up with the hourly entertainment value!  So...say you spent $80 on a project and it takes you 20 hours to complete (remember, you have to quilt it and bind it!) your cost per hour is only $4! That's a pretty good bargain considering you also have a wonderful finished quilt!
