Here we are, a quarter of the way into 2009 and boy is the down economy affecting just about everyone these days. And for publishers, it's not just the down ecomony that's affecting business as usual ... it's technological innovation, a shifting advertising market and changing reader habits. All that being said, we feel very lucky to be able to offer a product that represents so much OPPORTUNITY for publishers in this rapidly changing economy.
For one, implementing a digital edition can significantly reduce publishing costs. But in addition to saving costs, there is an overwhelming strategic advantage in digital publishing; digital editions can increase reach and circulation, generate additional advertising revenue/value and give you in-depth tracking capabilities. And they also offer the ability for social media integration, which is so essential these days. It's no wonder digital editions are growing at such a rapid rate!
We hope this newsletter finds you well and that digital publishing helps you breathe a little easier in the months to come.
