In February, Dirxion attended the Digital Magazine Symposium. This was a great opportunity to discuss and review rapidly growing availability of digital "look and feel" magazines. Some of the usage statistics presented paint a positive picture for digital publications:

44 percent of the Harrison Group survey respondents find digital advertisements more appealing, and 37 percent said they would be more likely to engage digitally.

Two buzz words for 2008 are "mobility" and "green."
With the influx of smartphones in the marketplace, we have developed our first generation mobile (list) solution for the directory consumer. Additionally, we are adding SMS features to our core product, which means that any listing in our digital publication can be automatically sent to a mobile phone. Since the smartphone is quickly becoming your on-the-go connection to the Internet, it is only natural to have all of the things you need and want on your mobile device (video, music, news feeds, mapping, etc.).
Along with smartphones, we have become smarter about our environment. AT&T Launches Directory Kiosk Program
Last year, AT&T deployed 21 directory kiosks in two Southeast airports -- Hartsfield-Jackson International and Orlando International. To give some perspective, these two airports combined generate about 121.6 million travelers every year!
So far, the results have been nothing short of spectacular. In the first quarter of 2008, the nine kiosks located in Orlando produced a total of 25,000 users, with those users alone accessing over half of a million pages.
Based on the success of the project, AT&T plans to add additional kiosks to both the Atlanta and Orlando airports and possibly even a third airport sometime later this year.
