| Greetings!
NextGen Churches is pleased to provide two upcoming training events for NextGen pastors, their church staff and lay leaders. The first of several goals we have set for these events is to build connections between NextGen churches, their staff and lay leadership. Our second goal; to equip NextGen churches to become healthy and effective in their "Great Commision", and our third goal; to empower churches and their leaders to discover and achieve their God-given mission.
The cost of each event has been set to encourage a group from each of your churches to attend rather than individuals - $100 for a group of 6 people or $20/per individual. Our on-line registration provides three options for payment: credit card, checks via mail or payment at the door.
Each EMPOWER training event will feature a full worship service with an inspirational keynote message, multiple topic workshops that are motivational, inspirational, practical and missional in nature will be provided in four breakout sessions and, of course, a delicious lunch. Below are the details for each EMPOWER event.

Sr. Pastor of Morgan Hill Bible Church
Dave grew up in a pastor's home and has served in ministry since '81. After seminary, he returned to pastor in his home church, First Baptist Church of San Ramon, CA. In '91, he moved to Phoenix, AZ as Sr pastor of Heart to Heart Bible Church. During his thirteen years of ministry in North Phoenix, he also received a DMin. Dave's burden to return to the Bay Area lead him in 2004 to become the lead pastor of Morgan Hill Bible Church. Dave serves as a police chaplain in Morgan Hill and is the current president of Next Generation Churches and on the board of Vision 360, a church planting organization in the South Bay and Peninsula. Dave is married to Lanette (who also grew up in a pastor-missionary home) and has two children: Jonathan (recently married and serves on staff at City Church in San Francisco) and Kaylan (a college junior). Dave and Lanette have a special heart for those who serve in ministry and their families.

Spring Hills Community Church
Bret Avlakeotes is the pastor of Spring Hills Community Church in Santa Rosa. Bret and his wife Eve started the church in 1992. Now almost 20 years later, the church is close to 1500 in weekly attendance.
Bret is a graduate of Dallas Seminary and is currently working on a D Min degree from Talbot Seminary. Bret and his wife Eve have two children, Angelique 21, and Josh 17.
