Greetings!
What a busy Summer's end and blast off into October!
I have been pretty lax in getting these newsletters out but that's all going to change. We are going to be doing some fun stuff in the next few weeks and I'm going to tell you all about it and also give you some recipes for the festive up coming season.
NOW....Let's see; the last week of September we had two large parties and almost 2000 desserts to make. Our first was a signature dessert for the Space Needle and another one of a kind dessert for the Valley Women's Medical Association at the new ShoWare Center in Kent in addition to all our other accounts. It was then time to start on my cousin Jinna's wedding cake.  Here's a sweet picture of both my cousins, Alisa and Jinna. Jinna worked at the bakery last year at this time and put on our "Holiday Open" house. She is now married to her sweetheart Steve Lambert. They have been together for many years since they were quite young. It's so sweet to see the two of them finally a married couple. It was a beautiful wedding and then they were off to Maui for their honeymoon. Her wedding cake was quite the spectacular creation.  An 18" square bottom of strawberry shortcake, whole strawberries, strawberry silk mousse all layered with 3 layers of our sour cream pound cake. The next layer was our chocolate silk eternity followed by 2 layers of our famous carrot cake. Here are a few pictures of the cake, the family and the new Mr. & Mrs. Lambert. We're all very happy to have Steve a part of our family.
