The STANDUP Act gains sponsors in the House and the Senate

The Safe Teen And Novice Driver Uniform Protection (STANDUP) Act (H.R. 1895 and S. 3269) has gained more support from members of Congress.
 
In the House of Representatives, STANDUP now has 20 co-sponsors, including Rep. Steven C. LaTourette (R-OH) who was added as a co-sponsor this week.  The Senate version of the STANDUP Act, S. 3269, now has seven co-sponsors, with the addition this week of co-sponsor Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI).
 
Thank you, Rep. LaTourette and Sen. Whitehouse, for your support of legislation that will reduce teen driver related crashes, prevent injuries, and save lives.

Teen driving receives attention in the House 
 
On July 1, Representative Tim Bishop (D-NY) -- the sponsor of H.R. 1895, the Safe Teen And Novice Driver Uniform Protection (STANDUP) Act -- made a statement about teen driving and the STANDUP Act on the floor of the House of Representatives.
