Senator Benjamin L. Cardin (D-MD) becomes a co-sponsor of the STANDUP Act, S. 3269

On Friday, Sen. Benjamin L. Cardin (D-MD) added his name as a co-sponsor of S. 3269, the Safe Teen And Novice Driver Uniform Protection Act.  Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) introduced the bill on April 28 with Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-CT) and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) as original co-sponsors.

The Safe Teen And Novice Driver Uniform Protection (STANDUP) Act is federal legislation that would compel states to strengthen their laws for novice teen drivers, often called Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) laws.
