| Garden Dedication to Saint Brother Andre |

The lovely pocket park garden that was dedicated to Brother Andre in 2002 will be renamed to honor the canonization that occurred on October 17, 2010 of Brother Andre Bessette and will be renamed Saint Brother Andre Garden at a party on Thursday, April 14, 5:00pm. Garden Designer Paul Chase, representatives from Parkway Partners and the Marianites of Holy Cross will be on hand to greet the guests.

Miss Laurentine Leontide Ernst February 22, 1919- January 22, 2011 A life long resident of the Ninth Ward until displacement by Katrina, Miss Ernst was a preservation activist and instrumental in the beautification of the St. Claude Avenue neutral ground. A Parkway Partners garden was dedicated to her in 1997 and still exists at 603 Forstall St.

The Annual sale is a special educational effort by the Department of Parks and Parkways staff. Urban foresters, landscape architects and horticulturists will guide participants.
