| Community Gardens: Growing Strong |
 |
|
Volunteers from Campus Crusade and Common
Ground helped to reestablish several neighborhood
Community Gardens. God's Vineyard, Kids' Café,
Whispering Wind, and Sun Done Organics are again
filled with active gardeners growing tomatoes,
peppers, basil, and herbs that will be used to
provide fresh produce to residents throughout the city.
Anyone interested in helping to reactivate a
community garden or to garden in an active garden
should contact Macon Fry, "Garden Guy" at
macon@ParkwayPartnersNOLA.org.

Neighborhood Tree Planting & Tree Trooper Training |
|
|
|
It's time to plan for fall tree planting efforts as spring
planting season winds down. We want to support
neighborhood plans in partnership with the NO
Department of Parks and Parkways. A good way to
get started is to invite us to a neighborhood meeting
and also to select a neighborhood representative
to attend Tree Troopers Training. Register now for the
FREE training that educates residents to become
stewards of their trees and leaders in helping
their neighborhood in planning and planting projects.
Chevron and The Booth Bricker Fund are key
supporters of this effort to ReLeaf New Orleans.
