Last Thursday was the last day of school for my high school sophomore. Ten of her friends came over to bake after their last final. I like to keep a well stocked pantry for baking. But while they were in the midst of their baking frenzy, they ran out of flour. My daughter said, "I know where to get some." She retur

ned minutes later with a 5 lb bag of flour and a big smile. How wonderful to have such sharing neighbors who can rescue you when you are in a pinch.
My other 7th grader will be out in a couple of days. At their Sports and Academic Banquet, they asked me to make some instant tea. I served almost 5 gallons of Instant Pina Colada! (Did you know that it is best to dissolve this in hot water and then add ice?)

Well, summer is just about here. We are finalizing our plans for summer and hope to return to
China to work with orphans. Before and after, I am thinking of offering some classes in
bread making, scone baking, and cupcake creating and maybe some fun sewing for my girls and their friends. Also, I am trying to set up some venues for t
ea tastings and hands-on tea making. Look for an announcement on a
sidewalk sale for local customers and a
big clearance sale for on-line customers.
I hope you have a relaxing summer. I will keep in touch over the summer. Look for some recipes on
cooking with tea (I use tea to make my oatmeal.)
