An ABC Baker's Dozen:
Top Picks for an Inaguration Display
RWB stars

Hello, ABC!

It certainly is a remarkable time to be an American.

Last week we put out a call on the ABC list serv  for book recommendations to commemorate next week's landmark Inauguration as well as Black History Month which follows in February.

We got such a wonderful and inspiring list, we thought we'd put together our favorites, as well as a fully annotated list of more than 40 fantastic books that you can download here.

To the right we've got our top picks for next week, but our big list is PACKED with award winners, new favorites, and plenty of diversity and texture.

After a challenging holiday season, and many shifts in the publishing landscape, we thought it might be fun to focus on the positive.

We guarantee it will inspire you as only great books can.

Feel free to make this list available to your communities, local schools, and anyone else you think might enjoy it.

Many thanks to our thoughtful contributors!

All the best,

Kristen
