Greetings!
This issue kicks off a special three part series on
pricing. We have received many questions about
pricing your products, so we decided to answer this
in a series of articles. We hope that these
articles will get you on the right track for
choosing your product's price.
We also have a great inventor story about seeing new
trends and we have two new radio interviews with Don
available online.
Enjoy!

How to Price Your Product - Part 1
|
|
Market Based Pricing
Many inventors have a hard time pricing their
product. Why is this? It is because pricing your
product is a very difficult task -- one that takes
weighing multiple factors. The two main aspects you
need to weigh are cost and market factors. We will
deal with pricing in a three part series, with the
first part dealing with market pricing, the second
part dealing with cost pricing and then the third
part dealing with how to balance the two.
Market pricing is often favored by many companies,
and although this can have disastrous consequences,
which we will talk about in our third article, this
is also a way to maximize your profits.

Inventor Story: Patrick Misterovich
|
|
Patrick Misterovich is a stay at home dad who had
all sorts of ideas for new businesses and products
all of his life. Then one day he read an article
about a man turning an Altoids container into
miniature speakers for an iPod. He began thinking
about other candy containers and if he could turn
those into new electronic devices.

The Power of the Package
|
|
by the Packaging Diva
Hey branders, marketers, product development
managers and packaging pros.
It's time to step up to the plate with your product
packaging. Mainstream
advertising is losing ground. No one is paying
attention to it any more. That puts
packaging in line to take its place and capture the
consumer?s attention and get
up close and personal.
