Greetings!

In this issue we have two great series. The first one is about Don's GEL Factors for business success. This will be a three part series to show you how to turn your invention into a profitable business. The second series is the second of five articles by patent expert Al Davis. In this issue he will discuss the Inventor's Notebook and the Document Disclosure program with the US Patent Office. Also, we have another great article by the Packaging Diva and an inventor story about Debbee Barker. Enjoy!

Do you have a great invention? Are you looking to start a great business from your invention? This may be harder than you think. A great product does not automatically transfer itself into a great business. What you need is a great business model. A business model describes whom you will sell to and how. Often a poor business can be turned into a great business just by changing its business model.

In this three part series, we will discuss Don's business model evaluation method: The Gel Factors. We will show how you can tweak your existing business model, or how to create a brand new one for your product that will be successful. The first part will discuss the G in Gel: Great Customers.

In this second of a series of articles, Al Davis discusses the Inventor's Notebook and the Document Disclosure Program. This is a must read for all of you who are looking to save money on intellectual property protection.

What is a package any way? We all know it conveys a product from point A to point B. Besides the obvious of getting it there undamaged or not broken, what's a box supposed to do? That job has changed dramatically in the last decade. The package has become the ?first moment of truth? at retail. And now, especially it's going to decide whether someone will by your product, or not. So you better pay attention to not only what goes inside but what's on the outside of the box.

Debbee Barker was looking for a way to help keep her daughter's rooms more organized and less cluttered. She realized that a large part of the mess was caused by laundry left unfolded or folded improperly and started thinking of ways to make folding and organizing clean clothes easier. The result was Barker?s invention of the FlipFOLD laundry organizer which allows anyone to quickly and uniformly fold clothes.

Thanks for reading!

Sincerely,
