Letter from the President, Michael Deluise
One
of the most important benefits of your membership in the Melville Chamber of
Commerce is the opportunity to spend time with getting to know your fellow
members. As businesses throughout Long Island and the nation seem to be facing
more and more challenges our members enjoy working together to create very real
solutions for themselves and the community we live in. Those
who have been attending a morning breakfasts and after hours events know what I
am talking about. Networking at the chamber goes beyond selling our individual
products and services. When you walk through the room at one of our gatherings
you are amazed by the conversations. The Melville Chamber meetings remind me of
a high level executive MBA seminar presented at one of the nations best universities. Although
you can always hear talk of sales opportunities the topics of conversation
regularly include subjects such as the effectiveness of social media, dealing
with local government, employee retention and the latest in office technologies. What better way to learn how to grow
your business then to explore solutions directly with your colleagues who are
the experts write in your own backyard? It is also becoming very clear that our
members are becoming friends as well as business associates. In the coming
months we plan to present you with many more opportunities to do business,
expand your business and explore business opportunities in an atmosphere
filled with support and friendship. As Melville Chamber of Commerce continues to
grow in effectiveness and membership we promise to be there when you need us to
help you succeed. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at
our regular meetings. Be sure to mark your calendar for September 25th when our
"Young Professionals" present The First Annual Hunt Long Island in support of the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It will be a
guaranteed great time all for a very good cause. Remember the chamber
is here to serve you whenever you need us. Enjoy the summer and don't hesitate
to contact us if there's anything we can do to help you do business along the
110 corridor in a better more productive and efficient way.
Best regards,
Michael Deluise President Melville Chamber of Commerce
