Elder Candidate Examined:
Brandon Jacobson

Last week Sunday morning during corporate worship, Brandon Jacobson was publicly examined before the whole church to be considered an elder for Missio Dei Church. If you were serving in the Children's Ministry or were unable to be with us last Sunday, you can listen to his examination here and his Gospel Story from March!
Now that he has gone through nearly nine months of training and has publicly shared with us his convictions on Scripture, the Gospel, why he feels led to be an Elder for our faith family and his dreams for the future of our church, the ball is now in your court to examine his life according to Scripture (1 Timothy 3:1 - 7, Titus 1:5 - 9, and 1 Peter 5:1 - 11).
Over the next 2 1/2 weeks, as you
- pray about Brandon being an Elder,
- read through Scripture about the qualifications of an elder,
- consider his testimony,
- and as you have watched his life and doctrine,
if you see any Biblical reason for his disqualification as an elder for our faith family, we ask that you, following the Matthew 18 model, and make your concerns known first to Brandon (contact information below) and to the Elders before Sunday, June 13.
If no Biblical reasons for his disqualifications are raised, the Covenant Members will be asked to affirm his call and appoint him to the Office of Elder for Missio Dei Church on Sunday, June 13.
