MatchMaker Meetings = Opportunity!
As part of the 2012 WBENC National Conference & Business Fair, on Thursday, June 21, WBENC will host MatchMaker meetings, an opportunity for WBENC-Certified WBEs to meet with buyers from our WBENC Corporate and Government member organizations to discuss possible opportunities in various service and product areas.
All WBENC-Certified WBE suppliers registered for the full conference by May 11, are eligible to participate (i.e., WBE sponsors, WBE exhibitors and full conference WBE attendees). Any WBENC Corporate or Government Member buyers interested in participating in MatchMaker Meetings should email
matchmakers@wbenc.org.
Meetings are based on the current or near-future sourcing opportunities of Corporate and Government Members. Therefore, one-on-one meetings will be limited to the opportunities that exist.

Author, The WOW Factor: The 33 Things You Must (and Must Not) Do to Guarantee Your Edge in Today's Business World
Frances Cole Jones will keynote the Thursday Conference Luncheon on June 21 beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the Peabody Grand Ballroom at the Peabody Orlando Hotel. She is the author of How to Wow: Proven Strategies for Selling Your (Brilliant) Self in any Situation and The Wow Factor: The 33 Things You Must (and Must Not) Do to Guarantee Your Edge in Today's Business World (Ballantine Books/Random House). She also has an app for the iPhone and iPad called "Interview Wow".
Time Magazine said, "Jones' shrewd book will give the nervously employed that requisite competitive edge." Her blog www.francescolejones.com/blog was voted one of the top 100 websites for women by Forbes.com. Frances appears frequently on ABC and Fox News, is a body language expert for The Insider, and is the business etiquette expert for Demand Media's eHow video series.
Frances speaks frequently around the country on topics such as "10 Things You Can Do Today to Wow Tomorrow", "Catch Your Customer's Attention-Keep Their Trust" and "The Art of Sales".

Call for Auction Items
| The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and WBE Auction Chair, Lynn Griffith of Welcome Events, are pleased to announce the 2012 Silent Auction call for donations. The Silent Auction will be held on June 19, 2012, at the Peabody Orlando during the National Conference and Business Fair. You are invited to help WBENC achieve its 2012 Auction goal of $150,000 and make this very special event a success. Donations that generate excitement, great interest, and great bids are being sought. Donations could include the following:
- Arts: Theater tickets, Painting/Photo, Books
- Electronics: Computers, Cameras, IPods
- Entertainment: Restaurant certificates, Cinema tickets/passes, Family fun/games
- Health/Beauty: Spa-related, Jewelry/Handbags, "All things girly"
- Gift Cards: Any retailer, any denomination
- Power Meetings: Breakfast, lunch or dinner with 'C' level executive
- Sports Related: Game tickets or skybox memorabilia
- Travel: Hotel/timeshare, getaways, airline/transportation, tickets

Using the interactive business fair floor plan can enhance your experience by staying up to date on who's exhibiting and where they are located. The floor plan also offers an opportunity for Co-Chairs, Sponsors and Exhibitors to showcase their brand. When selecting an exhibitor, click on their booth to see more details about their company.
