MatchMaker Meetings = Opportunity!
As part of the 2012 WBENC National Conference & Business Fair, on Thursday, June 21, WBENC will host MatchMaker meetings, an opportunity for WBENC-Certified WBEs to meet with buyers from our WBENC Corporate and Government member organizations to discuss possible opportunities in various service and product areas.
All WBENC-Certified WBE suppliers registered for the full conference by May 11, are eligible to participate (i.e., WBE sponsors, WBE exhibitors and full conference WBE attendees). Any WBENC Corporate or Government Member buyers interested in participating in MatchMaker Meetings should email
matchmakers@wbenc.org.
Meetings are based on the current or near-future sourcing opportunities of Corporate and Government Members. Therefore, one-on-one meetings will be limited to the opportunities that exist.

Corporate Co-Chairs to Address 2012 Business Fair Attendees on June 20
 Mark J. Servodidio
Chief Administrative Officer, Avis Budget Group Inc. will serve as the keynote speaker during the Business Fair Breakfast on June 20 at the Orange County Convention Center.
As chief administrative officer for Avis Budget Group, the parent company of Avis Rent A Car, Budget Rent A Car and Budget Truck Rental, Mr. Servodidio has responsibility for more than 22,000 employees. He oversees Avis Budget Group's worldwide human resources activities, including organization development, labor and employee relations, staffing strategy, compensation, benefits, HRMS, diversity, safety and employee loyalty initiatives. He also has responsibility for properties, facilities, construction, airport concession agreements, environmental affairs and supplier diversity.
Neil R. Austrian
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Office Depot will serve as the keynote speaker during the Business Fair Luncheon, on June 20 at the Orange County Convention Center.
Mr. Austrian has served as an Office Depot director since 1998 when the company merged with Viking Office Products. He had been a director of Viking since 1988. Austrian was president and CEO of the National Football League from April 1991 until December 1999. He was managing director of Dillon Read & Company, Inc. from October 1987 until March 1991. Before Dillon Read, Austrian was chairman & CEO of Showtime/The Movie Channel, a joint venture between Warner Communications and Viacom, and he also served as chief executive of the advertising firm Doyle, Dane, Bernbach. He is currently a director of DirecTV and is on the advisory board of MidOcean Partners.

Call for Auction Items |  The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and WBE Auction Chair, Lynn Griffith of Welcome Events, are pleased to announce the 2012 Silent Auction call for donations.
The Silent Auction will be held on June 19, 2012, at the Peabody Orlando during the National Conference and Business Fair.
You are invited to help WBENC achieve its 2012 Auction goal of $150,000 and make this very special event a success. Donations that generate excitement, great interest, and great bids are being sought. Donations could include the following:
- Arts: Theater tickets, Painting/Photo, Books
- Electronics: Computers, Cameras, IPods
- Entertainment: Restaurant certificates, Cinema tickets/passes, Family fun/games
- Health/Beauty: Spa-related, Jewelry/Handbags, "All things girly"
