The Women's Business Development Council of Florida (WBDC of Florida) will serve as the Host Council for the 2012 WBENC National Conference & Business Fair, June 19-21 at the Orange County Convention Center and Peabody Orlando Hotel in Orlando, Fla.


Better than ever, and built around the Conference theme, "Celebrating 15 Years: Vision, Opportunities and Success!" this year's workshops will

help you make the most of your WBENC involvement at the 2012 WBENC National Conference & Business Fair.

Mike JonesMike Jones, president of Discover LeadershipTraining, a provider of business solutions, will be a featured speaker at the 13th annual WBENC National Conference & Business Fair on Tuesday, June 19 at the Kickoff Luncheon at the Peabody Orlando Hotel.  

 

Mike, who is committed to making a positive impact on the community, is also a former commercial airplane pilot and a commercial-rated helicopter pilot. He founded Soul Patrol, a nationally recognized organization teaching millions of middle and high school students to accept personal responsibility for their lives and their education. For this impact, Mike has received many awards and accolades including, honors from Presidents Bush (41st) and Clinton, and was the first recipient of the Sylvan Rodriquez Role Model of the Year Award. He also was named officer of the year four times during his tenure at the Police Department.

The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and WBE Auction Chair, Lynn Griffith of Welcome Events, are pleased to announce the 2012 Silent Auction call for donations.  
 
The Silent Auction will be held on June 19, 2012, at the Peabody Orlando during the National Conference and Business Fair.  
 
You are invited to help WBENC achieve its 2012 Auction goal of $150,000 and make this very special event a success. Donations that generate excitement, great interest, and great bids are being sought. Donations could include the following:
  • Arts: Theater tickets, Painting/Photo, Books
  • Electronics: Computers, Cameras, IPods
  • Entertainment: Restaurant certificates, Cinema tickets/passes, Family fun/games
  • Health/Beauty: Spa-related, Jewelry/Handbags, "All things girly"
  • Gift Cards: Any retailer, any denomination
  • Power Meetings: Breakfast, lunch or dinner with 'C' level executive
