NEW SOLIDLINE EDUCATIONAL DOCUMENTARY AIMS TO REGULATE ADVANCE PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSES FROM STATE TO STATE
|
|
Production in Washington, DC for the APRN educational video.
|
SolidLine is proud to announce the release of its new educational video production,
Consensus Model for APRN Regulation. The production, produced for the National Council
of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), was filmed across the US during 2010, including
locations at Rush University in Chicago, the University of Pennsylvania, Family Health
Birth Center in Washington, DC, University of Kentucky, the American Nurses Association
in Maryland, and Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philly.
In 2007, nurse leaders, representing over 144 nursing organizations, gathered over a one
year period to develop new national standards for advanced practice registered nurses.
These standards, when adopted by each state, will ensure that the education, accreditation,
certification, licensure and practice requirements for advanced practice registered nurses
are the same throughout the country. This will increase mobility of advanced practice
registered nurses and allow them to move to other states without having to meet different
licensure requirements. The SolidLine produced production illustrates how the new changes
outlined in the Consensus Model ensure public safety by making certain that an APRN in one
state is equivalent to APRNs in every other state.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 125 DAYS
|
It's been another whirlwind year here at SolidLine Media, and we've covered more ground
than ever before. This year, the SolidLine crew has traveled not only across the US, but
internationally to Europe, Japan, and China as well. Overall the SolidLine crew was on
the road for a record 125 days in 2010 visiting 32 US states and 3 continents. And getting
to all these productions meant traveling 37,000 miles on the ground in the SolidLine bus
and countless more miles in the air during 75 flights. Now that's a lot of gear moving
around...
It has truly been a great year though and we thank all of our wonderful clients in the US
and across the globe for your support of SolidLine. We love you all and look forward to
a wonderful and prosperous 2011!

THE SOLIDLINE PUZZLER

Last Month's Puzzler
How many green bean casseroles will be served this Thanksgiving?
Unfortunately we did NOT have a winner last month, but several of our loyal
followers did make a solid attempt. Amazingly the final tally of anticipated
green bean casseroles to be served this year was a whopping 40 million. So,
if our math is correct, that leaves around 39 million green bean casseroles that were
recently dumped in our nations’ landfills...
The New Puzzler!
We here at SolidLine enjoy the spirit of Christmas. What does that mean? Well...giving presents of course! But...we also enjoy a good challenge.
So we combined our love for giving presents and a good challenge together for
this edition of the NewsReel. And that's where our Christmas light themed
puzzler comes into play...
Our first ever double puzzler features 2 questions. We even made it easy with
multiple choice questions. The first email with 2 correct answers will win our
best prize of the year...a SolidLine branded fleece jacket AND a SolidLine knit
hat.

ASK THE CREW

What is your favorite Christmas carol? Why?
Mike Petrik, Art Director
Christmas Time (Don't Let the Bells End) by The Darkness.
The best Christmas carol by one of the best bands of all time. Listen to it
here.
Ed Boe, Production Coordinator
After years of working in retail growing up, it is physically impossible for me to like Christmas
carols. "Santa Baby", in particular is one of the worst.
Mars Sanford, Motion Graphics Designer
Carol of the bells. I like it because even if you don't really know the words, you can just sing
crazy high-note gibberish until the 'merry merry merry Christmas' part and it still sounds cool.
Marcus Leshock, Writer
My favorite Christmas movie is Muppet XMAS Carol...I just want that to be known.
Michael Kromm, Creative Director
A Christmas Carol because of Jim Carry's performance. To me that is right up there
with The Twist, which I love to dance to. Also, I love movies directed by Robert
Zemeckis.
Greg Vass, Executive Producer
I like to sit by the fire with a mug of hot milk and listen to anything Michael
Bolton...or Jefferson Starship.
