Cherry Blossom Time
Himeji Castle
The appearance of the delicate Sakura, Cherry Blossom is a cause for celebration and Festivals throughout Japan commencing in February, and reaching its' peak late March through April while the trees are blooming. During the this time, the Japanese gather with families in the areas that are in full bloom.

Many cities in the USA celebrate the coming of Spring with Cherry Blossom Festivals, including Washington D.C.  In 1912 the mayor of Tokyo presented the City with a gift of 3000 cherry tress to symbolize the friendship between the two peoples.

At The Tea Smith, we enjoy the fruit of this celebration all year long with our Cherry Blossom Green Tea.  This Japanese style sencha features cherry bits, and is a great tea or or iced, and priced to be affordable for everyday drinking.

In honor of the season, we have included a FREE coupon for this tea for you to enjoy on us.

NEW version of classic:  Genmaicha Extra with Matcha
Genmaicha Genmaicha is one of our most popular Japanese teas.  This features Japanese Bancha with toasted rice.We also have a growing number of Matcha fans.  So here is something for both.  A traditional Genmaicha with high quality Matcha added.  You still get the toasted hints from the rice, and  the taste and health benefits of Matcha.  This is great as a starter for the day and as a tea that compliments Asian foods.
