Founders' Day 2008 |
|
 Save the Date: September 24
You are warmly invited to attend Founders' Day 2008. Mark W. Holmerud, newly elected bishop of the Sierra Pacific Synod, will be our featured speaker on the theme: "Beyond Bureaucracies and Ivory Towers: PLTS and the Sierra Pacific Synod at Work in the West." How can the synod and the seminary work together to provide resources that make a difference to the "front lines" of ministry? You are invited to join the conversation! The day includes time for worship, keynote presentation, questions and answer period, panel, small group discussion, and a shared meal. Founders' Day begins at 10:00 am and concludes by 3:30pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. There is a $15 donation for registration and lunch. Please contact us at events@plts.edu or 510-559-2731 to register. Come celebrate and strategize with us about how we will serve God's mission together in this amazing, diverse, and richly gifted synod of the ELCA! |
