Greetings!

James Burbidge 2Welcome to another great newsletter, if I do say so myself.

As we gear up for the festival the office is getting busier and busier. Intern corner is overflowing and the programmers are dashing off to screenings all over the place.

We're planning some great mini-courses for the festival and there'll be be plenty to do besides attend our fantastic screenings.

Want to make the most of the festival? Become a benefactor - it's the only way to get a screening pass this year and you get a host of other goodies besides.

I look forward to seeing many of you there or at our Open House Sept 7.

The Raindance Digital Distribution Award is the first of its kind anywhere in the world.

We, along with Apollo Cinemas, have chosen 3 features from last year's festival which we believe deserve a wider audience. These will tour selected cinemas in the Apollo chain, giving the filmmakers a much sought-after UK distribution deal. It is hoped that this will help the filmmakers to secure further European and worldwide deals.

The films, three of the most popular from the festival, are My Suicide, It Came From Kuchar and 25 Kilates, and will be screening in Burnley, Redditch, Leamington Spa and Torbay.

Tickets will be on sale shortly.

Producer To Producer
Producer to Producer

Rarely does one come across a book as useful as this one.

In the digital ages, one is constantly bombarded with emails and weblinks, full of useful information, but difficult to store and access.

this book, written by the co-producer of the Oscar and BIFA winning Man on Wire, Maureen A. Ryan, is one of those books you carry around in your bag, or leave beside your work station.

Essential for any filmmaker with the kind of detailed, and easy-to-follow information that even seasoned producers forget.
