Greetings!
After deciding to come all the way to London for a semester to study, I figured it would be a good idea to see how things are really done in the film world. I hail from Upstate New York, a long way away from anything exciting so interning at Raindance has helped to fill that void. When I am not running around Soho I am in the office, posting things on facebook and other such places to promote the festival and the courses. I enjoy films with talking animals and doing impersonations of failed political figures. If you have any queries about what it is like to be an intern at Raindance, please e-mail me! mackensie.dohr@raindance.co.uk
I look forward to hearing from you. Mackenzie Intern

2009 Raindance Festival hit 'Kakera - A Piece of Our Life' will be having a gala screening accompanied by a Q&A with director Momoko Andō.
This will be taking place at 5.30pm, 27 March at ICA before it opens at ICA & selected regional sites from the 2nd of April 2010.
++++++++++++++++
In other news; our course are great! We recently got this lovely piece of feedback
"I attended the hands on directing course last weekend and I just thought I'd let you know how good it was. Patrick Tucker was brilliant at the helm and made the whole subject accessible for anyone, including people like myself with very little hands on experience but with a few ideas in mind. He made it informative, exciting and a fine helping of humour along the way."

Renounced
From time to time, Raindance pauses and comments on one of the many
strange things this world offers. It could be political, cultural or
religious. Just plain straight wrong.
In today's "renounced" a drunk father leaves his son in an oven overnight.

Review: Apocalypse of the Dead

dangerous criminal across a war zone. When they're attacked by
bloodthirsty mutants they must turn to their captive for help. The film has a good concept, but a good concept alone cannot carry a movie. Read more...
