A former Raindance student has just won 10 awards at the Los Angeles Reel Film Festival. Christine Cheung took the Producer's Foundation Certificate in 2009 and went on to make LOVELORN. Now she needs your help.
"LOVELORN has been invited to participate in a film jukebox night at the
Ritzy Picturehouse, where the audience decides which film gets screened
on the night. We're up against two other films so come along, join
us and please vote on the night. You can also join our Facebook group."

Did you work with me on THE VAMPIRES OF BLOODY ISLAND? I'm in regular contact with most of our 100 strong cast and crew, but it's innevitable that during the lengthy post production period a small number of you have changed email addresses / moved house /accidentally flushed your mobiles down the loo, and we've lost contact. We release on DVD in the UK, Europe and Australia on Jan 25th and then the USA and Canada a week later on Feb 1st. To celebrate, we're holding a special cast and crew screening next week. So if you were, or know of someone who was involved in the film THE VAMPIRES OF BLOODY ISLAND and aren't receiving regular updates from me, now is an exciting time to get back in touch! Hello,
as you know the Film Council has already felt the effects of government redirecting money from arts to the olympics, I've set up a petition on 10 Downing St to protest against this and seek to protect the arts funding in the future. If you are interested please take a look.
Thanks.

Quoted

After my cynical Christmas quotes last year I should make an effort to be less cynical about the New Year... Well, maybe not.
"Youth is when you're allowed to stay up late on New Year's Eve. Middle age is when you're forced to." Bill Vaughan
"The proper behavior all through the holiday season is to be drunk. This drunkenness culminates on New Year's Eve, when you get so drunk you kiss the person you're married to." P.J. O'Rourke
"New Year's Day: Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual." Mark Twain
"The only way to spend New Year's Eve is either quietly with friends or in a brothel. Otherwise when the evening ends and people pair off, someone is bound to be left in tears." W.H. Auden
Next week I'll actually get back to having quotes at least tangentially about movies...maybe...
