Blair Witch
Something About Raindance

10 years ago we hosted the European premiere of The Blair Witch Project. We are holding a retrospective screening on October 5th.

Both directors were in attendance: Eduardo Sanchez and Daniel Myrick. We spoke to them this week and they both said that of all the premiers around the world, they definately preferred the Raindance one.

Check out their new anniversary website.

This week we've highlighted some of Raindance tutor Martin Gooch's short comedies. For a big laugh, plug into The Orgasm Raygun where a few bits of old rubbish combined with a little imagination create some out of the ordinary situations.

For even more laughs, check out Don't Even Think It!where the stark differences between what we say and what we think are highlighted. For yet another dimension of Gooch's humor, enjoy watching The Lift and see the awkwardness escalate as strangers find themselves trapped in a lift.

Visit raindance.tv tomorrow! We'll be announcing exciting news!

Here is a summary of 6 really shit movies that were based on true life stories.

"The movie business has always been like the oil business. Everyone wants a gusher."
- MICHAEL EISNER (former chief executive of The Walt Disney Company)

"One of the most ironic things about capitalism is that the capitalist will sell you the rope to hang himself with. Actually they will give you the money to make a movie that makes them look bad, if they believe they can make money off it."
- MICHAEL MOORE (Director and Producer, 'Bowling For Columbine' etc)

And Of Course:
"If something's worth doing, it's worth doing for money."

I'm shooting a short feature in York on the 23rd and 24th September and I need people to take part in a party and have a swinging time!

The story is a modern-twist on Rapunzel and involves Rapunzel descending from her tower for a night out with Prince Charming.

The scene for which I need participants is the night out, which has been organised at Revolution Bar, York from 20.00 to 23.00 and I need young, attractive, trendy people to simply enjoy themselves and possibly end up in the final cut.
It's as simple as that.

Anyone who would like to get involved can join the facebook group "YORfilm"

for further details. The area has been booked for 60 people and as such participation will be according to how well such a high-capacity can be managed by bar staff.
