Downtown Jewish Community School: Shir Libeynu's Partner in Education
Congregation Shir Libeynu recommends Downtown Community School (DJCS) as its first choice for quality Jewish education in supplementary Jewish school. Our congregation has entered into a community partnership with DJCS -- like Shir Libeynu, it is inclusive and egalitarian.
Running from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 7, DJCS offers a Jewish Studies program with an optional Hebrew component beginning in Grade 2. In Grade 7, the bar/bat mitzvah year, the focus is on understanding and performing mitzvot (good deeds). High-school aged students can participate in the DJCS once-a-month Sunday Brunch High School discussion group.
The DJCS is conveniently located in the Miles Nadal JCC at the corner of Bloor and Spadina. Tuition fees are fully tax deductible and include a free MNJCC membership for each enrolled child.
Visit the Downtown Jewish Community School's website to learn more: http://www.djcs.org/ | Or, "like" it on Facebook at www.facebook.com/downtownjewishcommunityschool

In the meantime, our price list and a schedule of services is available here: http://shirlibeynu.ca/hh2012/
Non-member tickets will be on sale later in the summer, subject to availability.
Shir Libeynu endeavours to accommodate all membership and ticket requests; however, space at our High Holy Day services is limited.
We encourage you to place your order early to ensure availability. |
