Pedestrian Improvements in Westshore.  You may have noticed new "brick imprinted" crosswalks at the intersections of Cypress and Trask, Cypress and West Shore and Westshore and North B.  These are part of an ongoing multi-year program to bring pedestrian safety improvements throughout Westshore.  These improvements are managed and funded by the Westshore Alliance through the Westshore special services district.  If you have any questions or suggestions about the program, please contact Chris Weber (weber@westshorealliance.org).

If you have employees or tenants that bike or walk to work, you may be interested in scheduling FREE pedestrian & bicycle safety classes offered by WalkWise Tampa Bay.  These short informative sessions offer great safety tips and attendees receive FREE reflective safety items. For more info, contact Jessica Brenner at jlbrenne@cutr.usf.edu or 813-974-9215.

Transportation Improvements coming to Westshore
There are more than ten major transportation projects or studies underway now that are located in or intersect the Westshore area.  Two of the largest construction projects begin next year:  I-275 re-construction and widenening of the Veterans Expressway.  The most convenient way to learn about the projects and keep up to date on other critical transportation initiatives is to attend our Transportation Committee meetings.  The meetings are held bi-monthly from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. in the URS conference room at Rocky Point Drive and Courtney Campbell Causeway.  Our next meeting is January 18.  Contact Chris Weber, Westshore Alliance Transportation Director, for more information and to receive committee meeting notification.

Roland Park K-8 Information Session
Roland Park K-8 Magnet School will hold a Parent Information Session on Monday, December 5 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the school located at 1510 N.
