In November, Salt Lake County voters will have the opportunity to vote on a funding package that would authorize the necessary funds to complete both the Jordan River Parkway Trail and the Parley's Trail.  Learn more here

Volunteer Spotlights

volunteers WF

Thank you to Wells Fargo, Splore, and JC Penny for their volunteer efforts along the Jordan River this month.

Wells Fargo employees took to a fleet of canoes lead by the non-profit Splore, as part of their corporate community service program.  The group pulled out nearly 400 pounds of trash from the river, cleaning up a section regularly used by Splore in their canoeing program.

JC Penny joined the City of South Salt Lake and the Jordan River Commission to pull puncturevine weeds along the Jordan River Parkway Trail as part of the 2012 United Way Day of Caring.

The work of both volunteer groups helps improve and beautify the Jordan River corridor for the entire region, and we are grateful for their contributions.

If you want to get involved, contact us!  We can provide tools, gloves, trash bags, etc.
