Did you know?

January 2012

Every month at CU*Answers . . . holds new information to be aware of and has something noteworthy to remember.  Did you know?  That's our purpose behind publishing this short, informative newsletter. Here are a few things we think you'll want to know.

Tapping in to CU*Answers' Resources

What you've just read in the short paragraph above is only the carrot. The CU*Answers communication network is broad, with topics of interest to front line staff, compliance officers, credit union management, and CEOs.  This month, we visit the avenues of information wide open to all credit unions in the cuasterisk network.

CU*Answers Client News: When our credit unions need timely information, you will receive an email from this sender.  The 'news' is also posted on the Client News page of cuanswers.com.  http://cuanswers.com/client.php  If you want to receive these notices, please contact our Client Service Department.

CU*BASE Alerts:  Situations arise that require your staff to be on the alert or be aware of incidents occurring now. An alert is posted on this website http://alerts.cubase.org/ which is accessible only from a PC connected to the CU*Answers network.

CEO Tickler & CEO Tickler_Answer Key:  This newsletter is published bi-monthly with the sole intent of creating a culture of curiosity and generating higher proficiencies for users of CU*BASE. Each issue poses 5 or 6 questions related to a certain segment of CU*BASE functionality. The questions give CEOs and staff a chance to dig into the software and find answers before they are delivered in the Answer Key two weeks later.  See back issues here.  And subscribe here:  http://cuanswers.com/newsletters.php

The Education Report: We publish our Education Catalog annually, and post it online for easy viewing.  Each month we send the Education Report via email to fill you in on education opportunities for the coming month.  We list both classroom and web conferences, highlighting special events that may not have been published in the catalog. Subscribe here.

Did You Know: This newsletter is self explanatory.  You're reading it right now.  This mid-month publication is written expressly to bring awareness to features and functionality built into CU*BASE software that will prove valuable when put into practice. If you're reading this because you got it from someone else, you can get your own copy every month. Subscribe here.

Network Compliance Teacher:  This newsletter was first published in November 2011 to rave reviews.  Written for a select credit union audience, interest in the topics has extended even beyond compliance officers. Authors of the articles live the reality of regulation and compliance day in and day out.  Visit the website http://advisor.cuanswers.com where the newsletters are posted.

Documentation Tricks of the Trade: CU*BASE software is a live system, constantly updated, and with that the library of documentation grows with it. A new series has been developed to help you find help when you need it. We've included it in The Education Report and it's announced via CU*Answers Client News.  No subscription required. Find them here.  If you want to receive notices from Client News, please contact our Client Service Department.

EOM Tasks Reminder:  As the title implies, this newsletter is sent out each month by our Client Services team with a list of tasks that are commonly performed to close out the month. If you want to subscribe to this publication, this is the link:

http://newsletters.cuanswers.com/subscribe.aspx

Statement Insert Reminder:  There's a specific date when statement inserts must be ordered.  The menu options to use and deadlines are published with other helpful tips.  This link to subscribe is the same as for EOM Tasks Reminder.

Gividends EFT Programming Updates and Gividends Wants You To Know:  These informational newsletters are published through the email channel and sent via CU*Answers Client News.  They announce the many programming changes and software enhancements implemented for EFT Card Processing. No subscription is needed to receive these email updates.  If you want to receive this publication, please contact our Client Service Department.

Remember This: Some features of CU*BASE software are commonly used, almost on a daily basis, but others are not. This quarterly newsletter was initiated to spark memory recall and get you to start using some of the productivity tools that have fallen off your radar.  No subscription is required.  If you want to receive this publication, please contact our Client Service Department.
