Meet our Builder - Steve Smith of SC Smith Building Company - Built Green Certified Builder

With 15 years of building and project management experience under his carpenter's belt, Steve Smith set out in 2004 to start a new type of residential contracting firm. The Victoria-based SC Smith Building Company , comprised of a skilled team of tradesmen, specializes in creating distinctive new homes and carrying out timeless renovations.

Customizing your Home - Getting what you want.

All our homes are professionally designed by an award winning design team, from the floor plans, right down to the faucets and colours, but we can also make custom changes.

For new home purchasers Grant and Barbara, it was important to modify the standard finishing package and have hardwood floors throughout the house, a curved granite bar, an extra row of kitchen cabinets, and a personal colour scheme.

A key change however, came one day during a site visit to check on the construction progress of their new home. They were touring another home under construction when they saw the rock fireplace and river rock tile inlay featured in the Westcoast interior scheme and wanted to incorporate the features into their Douglas plan home. We were at a stage in their homes construction that we were able to shift gears quickly and make it happen for them. Barb and Grant took possession of their new home last week and are loving it.
