April 2012

Hello to All,

Time is going by very quickly this semester.   The deadline for ordering books this academic year has passed, but keep sending your requests to me. There is always next year, and I can start building a wish list.

I am ordering e-books when available. If you prefer to have a print copy, be sure to let me know when you request a title. One of our preferred vendors for e-books is Ebrary, Inc.   You may want to set up an account with them and download their PlugIn Reader. (For access, see the featured item in this newsletter.)

Two caveats: 1) only one person can use an Ebrary e-book at a time and 2) we can order a book in print or online, but not in both formats.

Sincerely,

Virginia Weathers

Business Source Premier
In addition to referencing 800,000 articles on engineering and computing, the Business Source Premier database includes
company profiles, industry reports, market research reports and SWOT analyses. I hope you find it helpful, and that you will share it with your students who are venturing in to the business world.

Get personal research assistance with

"Book A Librarian"

USC students, faculty and staff who want help with their research can make an appointment for a free consultation service that provides a person-to-person session with a librarian.   The sessions can help identify ways to access and navigate electronic resources; develop search strategies; discover and locate primary source materials; search the web for relevant and reliable information; and locate materials for a literature review.

Schedule a consultation.
