Dear Sociology Faculty,
I hope everyone enjoyed reading our first newsletter and that everyone's semester is going well. As the school year steams ahead I would like to remind you that the University Libraries are here for any of your research and/or instructional support needs. These newsletters are meant to inform of you any new products and services the library may be adding as well as to remind you about the available tried and true ones.
Remember to send in your material requests to help us continually strengthen the sociology collection. We are also interested in your thoughts on ebooks in the collection - see the poll in the "Talk to us..." section. Our goal is provide a collection that meets your needs for teaching and research. Project Muse is a searchable database that provid es access to and information on 13 different sociology related journals including Social Forces, The Canadian Journal of Aging, The Future of Children, and more.

LIBR 100: Information Literacy

Do you have students looking for information, research skills, and 1 credit? For Spring 2012 the University Libraries is offering a 1 credit course called LIBR 100: Information Literacy. This award recognizes and rewards excellence in undergraduate research projects that incorporate the use of University Libraries' collections, resources, and services.
